UW proposes raising football, volleyball tickets for 2018 season

The University of Wisconsin Athletic Department is proposing raising season ticket prices in 2018 for football and volleyball.

The Athletic Board Finance Committee met Wednesday to discuss revenue numbers that are below expected projections for 2018-19, officials said.

If the full board approves the recommendation at its Jan. 19 meeting, general public football tickets would go up $6 per game to $54, or $378 for a seven-game home season. Student season tickets for football would go from $24 to $27.

General public volleyball season tickets would go up anywhere from $5 to $35 for the season.

This would be the first time ticket prices have gone up in three seasons, officials said.
