UW-Madison launches rapid COVID-19 testing site for students, employees

Kohl Center to start using metal detectors

MADISON, Wis. — University of Wisconsin-Madison officials are opening a second rapid COVID-19 testing site at the Kohl Center on Wednesday.

The new site, which is exclusively open to UW-Madison students and employees, will run from Nov. 18 to Dec. 23. The announcement comes a week after university officials opened a rapid testing site at Nielsen Tennis Stadium. Testing at the Nielsen testing site is open to the public.

Results for the rapid tests deliver results in as little as 15 minutes. Anyone who tests positive using a rapid test at the Kohl Center will be required to take a PCR test to confirm the results.

Those eligible for testing at the Kohl Center testing site can schedule an appointment online.
