UW-Madison hosts Farm and Industry Short Course Reunion
MADISON, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course Reunion was held Saturday afternoon at the Coliseum Bar.
The approximately 100 alumni in attendance shared a meal and heard remarks from guest speaker Jeff Endres, of Yahara Pride Farms. An awards ceremony also honored alumni and a professor.
“I’m actually a third-generation FISC (alumnus), and hopefully someday down the road, my children will go through the program,” Cory Brown said. “That alone shows how well-suited this program is for our industry and the well-being of its students.”
The University of Wisconsin is one of the only universities in the country to offer a short course program, a hybrid between attending a four-year university and a technical college.
Most graduates go on to work in production agriculture or a related field.
