UW-Madison employee who drove motorcycle through protesters loses job
MADISON, Wis. — A University of Wisconsin-Madison employee who drove his motorcycle through a group of protesters more than a month ago is now out of a job.
Rich Yaeger, a senior power plant operator on campus, was caught on video riding his motorcycle through the group on the Capitol Square.
A UW-Madison spokesperson told News 3 Now that Yaeger’s employment was terminated Thursday due to “workplace policy violations.”
Yaeger posted a 10-minute video on Facebook claiming he was wrongfully terminated and plans to hire legal help. At the end of the video, he zooms in on his motorcycle and says “this machine kills fascists.”
