UW Hospital named top hospital in the state
Meriter named 9th best, St. Mary's named 11th
MADISON, Wis. — Madison has the state of Wisconsin’s top hospital, according to a new study released by US News and World Report.
In its first ranking of hospitals by state, the magazine named UW Hospital and Clinics as the state’s top hospital, and among the nation’s top hospitals in seven specialties.
The ranking are included in the magazine’s best hospitals guide, ranking in hospitals in 16 specialties overall.
UW Hospital was named in the top 50 nationwide in nephrology; geriatrics; pulmonology; ear, nose and throat; neurology, cancer and gynecology.
Meriter hospital was ranked number 9 in Wisconsin by U.S. News. They were ranked as high-performing in Geriatrics, Orthopedics and Gynecology.
St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison also made the rankings. The hospital was listed as the 11 th best hospital in the state. The hospital was also recognized for its work in geriatrics and endocrinology.
