Update: Authorities identify teen killed in rollover crash

The Dane County medical examiner released the name of the teen killed in a rollover crash Saturday morning.

18-year-old Tabitha Goldsby of Marshall, Wis. died from injuries she sustained in the crash, according to the medical examiner’s report.

On Saturday, Wisconsin State Patrol troopers and Marshall police, firefighters and paramedics responded to a report of a one-car rollover on County Road T at Oak Park Road at 5:55 a.m.

Goldsby had been driving east on County T in a Chrysler Sebring when she drove off the road, rolled the car, hit a tree and landed in water, according to the report.

She was not wearing a seat belt and had to be extricated from the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said. Goldsby was taken to UW Hospital by Med Flight and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, according to the report.

The sheriff’s office said County T was closed in both directions for several hours Saturday morning.
