University of Wisconsin-Madison named one of Peace Corps’ top volunteer-producing schools
CHICAGO — The University of Wisconsin-Madison was ranked No. 1 among large schools on the Peace Corps’ list of top volunteer-producing colleges and universities in 2020.
According to a news release, 79 Badgers are currently volunteering in countries around the world.
The release said 2020 is UW-Madison’s fourth straight year atop the Corps’ annual rankings.
Wisconsin has ranked in the top-five since 2012, and is one of two Wisconsin universities on the 2020 list.
The Large Colleges & Universities group includes schools with more than 15,000 undergraduates. The University of Florida took second place with 70 volunteers.
