U.S. marshals arrest Janesville man on sexual assault of child, other charges

The U.S. Marshals Service arrested a Janesville man this week in connection with violent charges in Dane County, officials said.

U.S. Marshals spokeswoman Deputy Marshal Emily Krueger said 30-year-old Prinston Hutchins was taken into custody in Janesville Tuesday.

Krueger said Hutchins has been wanted by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office since February on suspicion of suffocation and domestic battery of a woman and by the Marshall Police Department on suspicion of two counts of sexual assault of a child younger than 16.

Hutchins was sought by the Badgerland Fugitive Apprehension Squad when new information led law enforcement to an address in Janesville. Hutchins was found at the address and arrested without incident, according to a news release.

The Badgerland Fugitive Investigative Apprehension Squad is comprised of members of the U.S. Marshals Service, Dane County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin Department of Corrections and Wisconsin Criminal Investigations.
