Two women arrested after DVD thefts
Women admitted to disposing of DVDs
MADISON, Wis. — Two Madison women took 21 DVDs worth a total of $820 from Target Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
A loss prevention officer at that Target at 4301 Lien Road, provided police with a car plate number, which led them to the Severson Road home of Laura K. Oftedahl, 31.
Oftedahl and Christina R. Evert, 22, were confronted by police at the home and admitted to disposing of a purse full of DVDs on Felland Road.
Police found 3 of the DVDs, but the purse and other 18 DVDs were gone.
A Target official told police Evert is also a suspect in several other retail thefts at local Target stores.
