Two tractors, hauling manure, involved in Green County crash
Green County, Wisconsin — Two tractors hauling manure were involved in an accident Wednesday according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office says that the tractor operated by 78-year-old Monroe resident Ronald Martini, suffered a mechanical issue as Martini was traveling eastbound on Dividing Ridge Road and attempting to turn onto a field access drive at around 3:43 p.m. Police say this caused Martini’s tractor to overturn and slide down an embankment.
Police say a second tractor, operated by 83-year-old Edward Koca, of Monticello, was riding behind Martini’s tractor and attempted to down shift when he say Martini’s crash. Koca’s downshift caused a malfunction and jackknifed his trailer, according to police.
Police say both Martini and Koca were transported to the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room to be treated for injuries suffered during the crashes.
