Two people hurt in Madison house fire

Two people were injured in a house fire on Madison’s north side Thursday night.

Crews were called to the fire at 1401 Nevada Rd. around 10:30 p.m., officials said.

Smoke was seen coming from the single-family home when crews arrived, according to a release.

As of 12:45 a.m. Friday, Madison Fire said firefighters had the fire under control and were working to put out hot spots.

There is no word on the extent of the injuries.

Crews are still investigating the cause of the fire and the amount of damage it caused.
