Two men arrested in connection with December Rock County shooting, police say

TOWN OF ROCK, Wis. — Police have arrested two men in connection with a December shooting in Rock County.

Ronald L. Hicks was arrested Monday on suspicion of party to the crime of attempted first-degree intentional homicide and recklessly endangering safety.

Virgil Lee Tate Jr. was arrested by Chicago PD on Saturday on a felony arrest warrant for attempted first-degree intentional homicide, recklessly endangering safety and two felony warrants for manufacturing/delivery of cocaine.

According to a news release, both men are residents of Rock County.

Deputies from the Rock County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched the night of Dec. 7 to the 3000 block of South Highway 51 in response to a shooting. One person was injured in the incident.
