Two killed over weekend in separate motorcycle crashes
TROY, Wis. — Two people died over the weekend following separate motorcycle crashes in Sauk County.
Officials with the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office said both crashes happened Sunday afternoon.
Deputies with the sheriff’s office responded to the first crash around 12:15 p.m. on County Road B near the intersection with Guhl Road after receiving a tip that a motorcyclist driving 2007 Yamaha motorcycle was ejected from the bike when the vehicle left the roadway.
Responding deputies said they found the motorcyclist dead from injuries he suffered in the crash.
Authorities closed part of the roadway as they investigated the crash. The Sauk City Fire Department and Plain fire and ambulance responded to the scene.
As deputies were at the scene of the first crash, dispatchers got a call about another crash on State Highway 60 near the intersection with County Road C. Officials said a man was ejected from his 2017 Harley Davidson when the motorcycle left the roadway and crashed into a wooded area.
Officials said the motorcyclist was found dead at the scene from injuries he suffered in the crash.
