Twila D. Lynch
Twila D. Lynch, age 91, of Dodgeville, died peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at CrestRidge Assisted Living. Twila was born on April 29, 1925 in Highland to Clarence and Emma (Peterson) Halverson. She married Francis “Jiggs” Lynch on June 19, 1948. The couple lived in Dodgeville where they owned and operated Lynch’s Shoe Store for a short time. Twila also worked at True Value for many years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Rhoda Circle. Twila enjoyed following the Brewers and Packers, sewing and family trips up north and to Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jiggs on December 12, 1997; her son, Timothy; a daughter, Marcia Ray and six siblings. Lillian Gullickson; Charlotte Inabnit; Maxine Edwards; DuWayne Halverson; Ivan Halverson and Merlin Halverson Sr.
Twila is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Dan) Wiest of Yorkville, IL and Christine (Tom) Merritt of Milton; her son-in-law, Bill Ray of Bowling Green, KY; three grandchildren, Lisa (Nick) Martinelli and Danny and Matthew Wiest; two great grandchildren, Isabel and Jace Martinelli; a special niece, Carolyn Inabnit as well other nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church in Dodgeville. Pastor Mark Williamson will officiate with burial in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday after 10:00 A.M.
