Tucker trying to make it back to the NBA
Former Badger went to Milwaukee for a workout
MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Bucks will start training camp pretty soon and they’re still trying to fill a roster spot or two.
They’re bringing in some players for workouts to see if they should be invited to training camp.
Alando Tucker came in for a look Tuesday. Tucker is still the all-time leading scorer in Wisconsin men’s basketball history, and he played for the suns and timberwolves in the NBA.
More recently, he played outside the U.S. in Puerto Rico, Russia, and Spain. Now he hopes to get back to the NBA and hopes milwaukee is where he’ll land.
“Taking it a step at a time– a step at a time,” said Tucker. “An invite to camp– that would be great. that would be an opportunity I could walk thorugh the door.”
“I’m in great shape, very healthy,” said Tucker. “I’ve lost a lot of weight since Wisconsin, so still strong though . just trying to show I can guard any position.. I hope Wisconsin shows me some love, you know.”
The Bucks play their first preseason game October 9.
