Trial date set for women accused of attacking state senator
MADISON, Wis. — A judge set a trial date for the two women accused of attacking a state senator in Madison last summer.
Samantha Hamer and Kerida O’Reilly are charged with substantial battery — party to a crime after allegedly attacking Sen. Tim Carpenter back in June.
Carpenter said he was trying to take a picture of a group of protesters when he was attacked.
The trial is set to begin in October and could run for two to three days.
