Tree limb smashes moving Madison squad car windshield
MADISON, Wis. — A Madison squad car’s windshield was smash Wednesday as the car was driven on a west Madison road, officials said.
The Madison Police Department tweeted at about 1 p.m. a photo of the smashed-up glass and said the officer who was operating the squad when the limb struck it was not injured.
Police said Wednesday’s high winds likely caused in the incident.
The officer was driving on Maple Grove Road when the tree limb struck the car, police said.
Another photo police posted showed a branch on the front hood of the car near the grille.
