Traevon Jackson’s injury severe

Badger women draw Wake Forest in ACC Challenge

Monday, Wisconsin men’s basketball announced that starting point guard Traevon Jackson will miss several weeks with a foot injury.

Jackson’s surgery is scheduled for Thursday, and he’ll begin rehab in 2-3 weeks.

The senior got injured in the second half of Sunday’s loss at Rutgers. In the statement released by the university, Jackson said he hopes to return as strong as ever.

“I’m just trying to enjoy the process, learn from this and trust in Christ,” Jackson said. “I know my teammates will come together and be stronger because of this. I’m looking forward to coming back mentally stronger than ever and more prepared to win championships and finish off the year and the seniors’ careers the right way.”

Wisconsin hosts Nebraska Thursday.
