Todd “Toad/Too Tall” Boldon
Todd “Toad”/”Too Tall” Boldon, passed away peacefully on September 19th at the VA Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born February 26th, 1964 in Tomah, Wisconsin to parents Karen (Burnstad) and William Boldon. He graduated in 1982 from Mauston High School and enlisted in the Air Force, where he served 10 years active duty, followed by 11 years with the Wisconsin Air National Guard. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 2005. Todd was an avid Oakland Raiders and Boston Red Sox fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing as well as discussing politics with anyone that would listen, (and even some that wouldn’t). He also enjoyed keeping in touch with friends, past and present. Since retiring from the Air Force, he became involved with the VFW 8483, where he was recently elected a trustee.
Todd is survived by his soulmate, Donna (Eisele) Royston, his mother, Karen, his children, Jason Edgerton and Whitney Boldon, grandchildren, Tristan and Alexis, and sister Heather Boldon, countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and beloved cats Sasha and Snickers. He is preceded in death by his father, William Boldon, his uncles, Don and Eugene Burnstad and his aunt Bernie.
A memorial service will be held at VFW Post #8483, 5737 Highway CV in Madison, on Sunday, September 23rd at 2:00 PM, with a celebration of his life to follow. Todd’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the VA hospital and hospice care unit, for their care and support. “There is no death. Only a change of worlds.”
