Tips lead to arrest in convenience store robbery

JANESVILLE, Wis. — Tips helped Janesville police make an arrest in a Sunday night convenience store robbery.
Police said Nathanial Robert Johnson, 33, was taken into custody and arrested on suspicion of robbery and a parole violation. A detective said Johnson confessed to the crime.
Officers were called to Stop-n-Go gas at 1604 E. Racine St. at 7:53 p.m. for a report of a strong-armed robbery.
Police said the robber suggested he had a weapon, but didn’t display one. The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money before officers arrived.
