MADISON – Timm Bender, age 53, died suddenly on Friday, June 13, 2014, in Madison.
He was born October 26, 1960, in Madison, the son of Gale and Barbara (Luethe) Bender. He married Denise Foster on December 6, 2003, in Madison. Timm was raised in Madison and graduated from Madison East High School in 1978. He attended Madison Business College then went on to work a variety of jobs. In 1991, Timm started his own business, Midwestern Recreational Supply.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Timm had a heart of gold and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Timm is survived by his wife, Denise (Foster) Bender; his parents, Gale and Barbara (Luethe) Bender; his children, Lee (Lisa) Bender, Nicole Bender (Jeffrey) Bettin (and their mother Jill (Aide) Bender), Brittany and Madison Festino; his brother, Todd (Jane) Bender; his mother and father-in-law, Jon and Agnes Foster; his aunt, Joan (Luethe) Ehrenberg; grandchildren, Ryley and Hayley Bettin, Reese and Ella Bender, Eli King (and his father, Matthew King), and many other extended family and friends. Timm is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry E. and Ruth Bender, Noel and Agnes Luethe; his aunts and uncles, Harry A. and Alice “Ella Mae” Bender, Glen “Dick” Bender, Russell and Louise Luethe, Roy Ehrenberg; and father-in-law, William “Bill” Aide.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, with Monsignor Charles Schluter officiating. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Monday, June 16, 2014, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the family’s choice.
