Tim Conway reportedly suffering from dementia

Tim Conway is reportedly battling dementia as his family fights over the “Carol Burnett Show” star’s medical treatment.

According to court documents first obtained by The Blast and later confirmed by People magazine, the 84-year-old actor is “almost entirely unresponsive.”

His 56-year-old daughter, Kelly, is seeking to be appointed conservator for her father to gain control of his medical treatments.

In the documents filed Friday in Los Angeles, Kelly Conway claims that her father’s wife Charlene is “planning to move him out of the excellent skilled nursing facility he is currently at” and instead put him in one that won’t give him the same access he has now to registered nurses at all times, a 24-hour caregiver and his speech therapist.

Charlene is Tim Conway’s second wife, having been married to him since 1984. Kelly Conway is the daughter of the actor’s first wife, Mary Anne Dalton, who was married to him from 1961 to 1978. The couple also has another daughter and five sons, according to People.

Besides “The Carol Burnett Show,” which earned him a Golden Globe and four Emmys, Tim Conway is also known for the 1960s sitcom “McHale’s Navy” and his title character in the Dorf series of comedy films.

He also won two Emmys for his guest appearances on the sitcoms “30 Rock” and “Coach.”
