Tillia Bartildia Waldofsky
Tillia Bartildia Waldofsky, age 89, died peacefully in her sleep on April 9, 2017.
She was born February 3, 1928 in Lansing, MI, the daughter of William and Nannie (Barnes) Thompson. She was one of six children, raised in poverty like so many families during the depression. While there was no money to ease the family troubles, there was a love and bond that would never falter through the years.
While Tillia raised two children of her own, she met the love of her life, Jim, and they married in 1962. Along with his five children, and one more daughter together, the family of eight was united. Tillie won the respect and admiration of her step-children by never playing favorites and treating each as her own.
Tillias wonderful outlook on life, her wise advice, and her quick wit will be sorely missed by her family.
Tillia is survived by a daughter, Michelle (John) Kasimatis; son, Vic (Julie) Satterlee, son, Jeff Satterlee (Pat), three step-daughters, Sherri (Lee) Cooper, Chris Waldofsky, Karen Zaborowski; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; three sisters; two brothers; and two step-children.
A private funeral service will be held followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park. Revelation 21: 3,4. To view and sign this guestbook, please visit: www.ryanfuneralservice.com.
