Three injured during crash crash near New Glarus
NEW GLARUS, Wis. — The Green County Sheriff’s Department reports that a multivehicle crash that occurred in the town of New Glarus just before 5:30 Tuesday evening sent three people to the hospital with injuries.
The accident happened at the intersection of State Highway 69 and Old Madison Road, according to police. The car driven by Danyelle Bollig, of Belleville, was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Carlos Morales-Pino, of Madison.
Police say Bollig’s car overturned and ended up in a ditch. Bollig was not wearing her seat belt, but her fellow passenger was, and their airbags deployed, according to the police report. The report also says that both Bollig and Morales-Pino’s vehicles sustained damage and that their airbags deployed.
The Green County Sheriff’s Department says all three people involved were transported to a hospital in Madison for treatment of their injuries, and both cars had to be towed from the scene.
Morales-Pino was cited for following too close.
