Threat causes extra security measures at Madison East HS
There will be extra precautions at Madison East high school Thursday morning after a threat was written on a bathroom wall.
Principal Michael Hernandez wrote a letter Wednesday night to families that said the matter had been turned over to Madison police, whose officers will provide additional security Thursday at the school.
All bags and backpacks will be searched as students arrive and no one will be allowed off campus for lunch.
Hernandez said he understands the increased anxiety this could cause and stressed that the additional safety measures are precautions.
