Thieves make off with right foot shoes from Virginia store

Some thieves in Virginia may have a hard time on the run after stealing only right shoes from a store.

The Roanoke Times reported a shoe store owner said his sneaker store was raided by two people on July 20.

Their haul? Shoes designed for the right foot and some apparel.

It happened not once, but twice.

Clean Soles operator Rob Wickham told the Times that two people broke in July 20, while only one broke in on Aug. 25.

The break-ins cost him 13 right shoes, some shirts, hoodies, a jacket – and one complete sneaker pair.

The Times reported that Wickham said he typically keeps right shoes on display, while their other halves rest behind the counter.

Roanoke County police said one 17-year-old has been charged in the July burglary.
