Theresa Stutz, age 92, passed away at home on Monday, December 29, 2014. She was born on December 1, 1922 in Springfield Corners, the daughter of Lawrence and Eva (Niesen) Endres. She graduated from St. John’s Catholic Union Free High School in Waunakee. She married Howard Stutz on October 26, 1946.
She worked as an office clerk for American Family Insurance. She also worked for Lums and Lobecca Catering Companies. She loved playing cards, crocheting, traveling, square dancing and quilting. She was a member of Bethel XYZ, Eagle’s Club 623 and was an election official. She was a charter member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
She is survived by three children, James (Nancy Albers) Stutz of Madison, Nan (Greg) Engen of New Glarus and Bob (Kris) Stutz of Waunakee; six grandchildren, Mike (Amanda) Stutz, Pat (Christi) Stutz, Kevin (Kelli Hannon) Stutz, Andrea Stutz and Steve and Tim Pond; five great-grandchildren, Evan, Abby, Aiden, Emma and Ryan; and step-great-granddaughter, Hannah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard, infant son Frederick, brother Larry Endres and two sisters, Odelia Grimes and Sister M. Ritanella “Isabel”.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with Msgr. Charles Schluter officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Madison. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
