Thelma May Poulda
Thelma May Poulda, 93 of Mauston passed away on February 12, 2014 at Fairview Nursing Home in Mauston.
She was born September 4, 1920 to Edgar and Dora McVicker at Jump River, Wisconsin. She was baptized on September 13, 1944.
Thelma married Donald Poulda September 4, 1938. They were married 57 years when Donald preceded her in death in 1995.
Thelma & Donald farmed for several years in the Donald and Jump River Wisconsin area where she also clerked in various stores. She was also a 4-H leader and belonged to The Smith-Settlement Ladies Aide. Upon moving to the Mauston area in 1964 she worked at Leer Manufacturing where she retired from in 1983. Thelma loved playing cards, fishing with family and traveling.
Thelma is survived by her sons Ernest Poulda of Glen Flora, Wisconsin, Delbert (Sharon) Poulda of Poplar Grove, IL, daughters Ruth (Duane) Locken of New Lisbon, WI and Margaret Poulda of Mauston WI. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son Edgar Poulda and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Crandall Funeral Home, Mauston, where friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Burial will be at the Mauston Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fair View Nursing Home, Mauston.
