Terry L. Erstad
MADISON — Terry Laurence Erstad, age 62, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at the V.A. Hospital after a courageous fight with cancer.
Terry was born Aug. 26, 1951, in Madison, to Sydney and Almeda (Grove) Erstad. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 17 and was stationed in Germany. Terry later was discharged on Dec. 30, 1971. He was employed at Union Cab Company as a cab driver, a job he enjoyed for many years.
Terry was baptized and confirmed at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, and all sports. Terry was an avid pool player his whole life. He enjoyed life to the fullest and the many friends he met over the years.
He is survived by his son, Joey Kramer; brother, Everett (Patricia) Erstad of Oregon; and sister, Sonya (Indulis) Brakmanis of Sun Prairie.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Edwin Erstad.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park Chapel, 201 Femrite Drive, Monona, from Noon until 2 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
