Terry C. Volk
Terry C. Volk, age 77, of Lodi, passed away on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Oak Park Place.
He was born on Dec. 5, 1940, in Madison, the son of Joseph and Alice (Bergerson) Volk. He attended Edgewood High School until his junior year and graduated from West High School, with the class of 1959. Terry loved to dance and spend time with his family. Throughout the years he owned The Black Lemon, D.J.’s, The Whiskey, The Red Baron, Boardwalk, Mother Tuckers and Molly McGuire.
He had many headlining bands play at his establishments, such as Cheap Trick, REO Speedwagon, Little Richard, Otis Redding, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry and Chicago, just to name a few. Terry worked with his father at Joe Volk’s Music as a young man. He took over the business from his father and started Creative Profits and built the business to what is now known as, Bullseye Games. He enjoyed traveling, the Brewers, Packers and being with family and friends.
Terry is survived by his significant other, Carol Steinhofer; three sons, Erik (Khanittha “Linda”) CaPaul, Stacy (Jennifer) Volk and Joseph Volk; two daughters, Kimberly (Todd) Robinson and Jennifer (Mark) Kalish; thirteen grandchildren, Nicole Volk, Dustin (Natasa) Volk, Cody Volk, Hunter Volk, Alexia (Treshawn Howell) Howell, David and Adam Kalish, Cole Robinson, Jordan (Steven) Holverson, McKenzie (De Foy) Robinson, Austin Robinson, Madisyn Robinson, Naia CaPaul and Sutthiphong “Luke” CaPaul; eight great-grandchildren, Paige Nelson, Rikki Holverson, Tyson Foy, Ethan Franklin, Kimberly Volk, Marko Volk, Legene Howell and Tahj Howell; two sisters, Monya (Dave) Schulenberg and Alicia (Andrew) Volk; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Dean Volk.
A Memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, and also on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
