Teresa L. Massey
Teresa L. Massey age, 55, passed away unexpectedly while visiting family in Denver, CO due to a stroke on July 15, 2012. She was born on May 26, 1957 to Gary Massey and Virginia Gritzmacher. Terri graduated from Madison East High School and went on to study police science. She became the first policewoman in Muscoda, WI. She went on to work in law enforcement in Ft. Worth, Texas and was a long term employee of Kraft Foods at Oscar Mayer in Madison, where she made many wonderful friends. Her intelligence gave her a unique and gifted way of articulating – whether in writing or passion for crafts. Her last years of life were spent on the beach in Largo, Florida.
She is survived by her father, Gary (LaRetta) Massey of Madison; mother, Ginny (Bob) Skavlen of Madison; three sisters, Lisa (Ron) Rolli of Madison, Rhonda Massey of Madison and Tina (Randy) Sego of Denver, CO; and seven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., with Fr. Roger Nilles officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of mass on Wednesday at the church. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Sun Prairie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society.
