Muscoda 19-year-old continues to drink alcohol while deputy talks to driver
BOSCOBEL, Wis. — Two Muscoda teens were cited after allegedly throwing an empty beer can at a Grant County sheriff’s deputy’s squad car early Friday, according to a release.
Just after midnight a Grant County sheriff’s deputy was going west on Highway 133 near Walnut Street in the city of Boscobel, officials said. The deputy was following a 2001 Ford Taurus when the passenger, Rebecca Dailey, 19, threw an empty beer can out of the moving vehicle toward the squad car.
The driver, Whitney Granger, 18, was arrested on an absolute sobriety charge and will be cited for possessing open intoxicants.
While the deputy was talking to Granger, Dailey continued to drink alcohol, officials said.
Dailey will be cited for possessing open intoxicants, consuming intoxicants in a motor vehicle and littering.
