Teens arrested following armed robbery, police chase

Two juveniles are in custody following an armed robbery and police chase Sunday afternoon, according to Madison police.

Officers were called to African Market Beauty Supply at 805 S. Gammon Rd. at 4:41 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery.

Police said two teens wearing ski masks entered the business and demanded money. One of the boys partially displayed a handgun after receiving an undetermined amount of cash, according to police.

An officer spotted the teens on Watts Road. One was caught and the other ran away and was later found in an unlocked car parked on the street.

A K-9 officer assisted in finding a BB pistol, ski masks and cash from the robbery, police said.

Both 15-year-olds were taken to juvenile detention on suspicion of armed robbery and resisting police.
