Teen missing 9 days has medical issues requiring medication

Officials are seeking help in locating a Madison teenager who’s been missing more than a week and has a medical condition that requires medication.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice said in an alert that 17-year-old Kaitlynn R. Ward has been missing from the Madison area since Dec. 7.

Ward has medical issues for which she needs medication, and she likely does not have the medicine with her, the DOJ said.

According to the alert, Ward recently posted a photo of herself on social media wearing a blond wig. Ward has a tattoo of the word “Believe” on her right shoulder with birds surrounding the word. She also has three scars from dog bites on her left upper arm and shoulder.

Ward has short dark hair, hazel eyes, is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds.

Anyone with information about where Ward may be is asked to contact Detective Roger Baker of the Madison police at 608-264-9271.
