Teen charged as adult in fatal Wausau stabbing

4 children fatally stabbed in Memphis; mother in custody

Prosecutors have charged a 15-year-old as an adult in the stabbing death of a 13-year-old boy in central Wisconsin.

The Wausau boy was charged Monday with first-degree reckless homicide. WSAW-TV reported that that bond was set at $1 million cash.

Although the teen was charged as an adult, The Associated Press is withholding his name because it wasn’t immediately apparent whether his attorneys would seek to move the case to juvenile court. A public defender had not yet been appointed Monday afternoon.

Wausau police said Isaiah Powell was stabbed twice in the back during a fight involving a group of teenage boys that started with an argument on Facebook.

Police said boys with a BB gun fired a couple of times at another group on a porch before the fight broke out.
