JANESVILLE– Theodore “Ted” Thompson, age 69, of Janesville, died on Friday, July 27, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison. He was born in Milwaukee on August 29, 1942, the son of Lloyd and Ruth (Leisten) Thompson. He married Barbara Baldwin on June 9, 1962, in Janesville. During Ted’s working career he worked for Fisher Furnishing, Beloit Foundry, Allen Lloyd, Lloyd Thompson & Sons and Wellnitz Builders (32 yrs). Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, bird watching and antique collecting.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara; 3 children; Jeanene (Troy Haynes) Lee of Janesville, Theresa (David Stalsberg) Ford of Ft. Wayne, IN and Colleen (Butch Peschl) Edwardson of Belleville, WI; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Judy (Dale) Hoffman and Joyce Smith both of Janesville; and a brother, Dennis R. (Jacklyn) Thompson of Delavan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
