Task force search leads to 2 charged with drug-related crimes

Two people were charged with drug-related crimes Wednesday on drug charges after a task force search in Baraboo, officials said.

The Baraboo Police Department said the Sauk County Emergency Response Team and Sauk County Drug Task Force executed a drug search warrant at 610 West St.

The ERT detained three adults who were inside the residence. Task force members seized items associated with drug paraphernalia and five small bags containing cocaine inside the residence, according to the report.

Demonte L. Holmes, 20, of Baraboo, was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and taken to the Sauk County Jail, police said. Jonnica Jardin Cross, 20, of Baraboo, was cited on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana and released. A third person, a man, was released without charges.
