Most Wisconsin appeals for FEMA aid later filled

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - An Associated Press review shows that the vast majority of appeals by Wisconsin governments after federal aid was rejected were later fulfilled.The AP reviewed Federal Emergency Management Agency grant appeals since 2007. Of 24 appeals in Wisconsin, 18 for $185.3 million were later granted.Only $1.1 million from six requesters were rejected. That's less than 1 percent of the total amount appealed.
