Symposium to honor World War I veterans
MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Veterans Museum announced Thursday that it will hold a symposium to discuss the legacy of World War I on the 100th anniversary of the United States’ entry into the conflict.
Four million Americans served in WWI and more than 100,000 died, while an additional 200,000 were wounded. The symposium will honor the 122,000 Wisconsin citizens who served in the war, while also serving as the premiere of the film “Dawn of the Red Arrow,” about a National Guard unit made up of soldiers from Wisconsin and Michigan.qw
The symposium will run from Oct. 27-28 at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum and the Overture Center.
