SUV crashes in central Wis.; 1 dead, 4 injured
2 people were ejected from vehicle
WAUPACA, Wis. — Authorities in central Wisconsin said an SUV rolled four times after the driver lost control, killing the driver and injuring the four occupants.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office said the crash was reported Sunday about 4:45 a.m.
Deputies said the driver was eastbound on Highway 10 near Highway 49 when the driver lost control and went into a ditch. The driver apparently overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn and roll.
Two people who weren’t wearing seat belts were ejected.
The driver was killed. The other four people were taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries ranging from moderate to life-threatening.
The names of the people involved haven’t been released.
