Suspect in fatal stabbing was in domestic relationship with victim, police say
MADISON, Wis. — Police have identified the suspect in a fatal stabbing on Madison’s south side over the weekend .
Officers responded around 5:30 a.m. to an apartment complex in the 1000 block of West Badger Road after receiving an urgent 911 call from what sounded like a man.
Police said the victim, a 52-year-old man, appeared to have died of multiple stab wounds.
According to a release, 27-year-old Ronald E. Redeaux Jr., of Madison, was arrested on a probation hold, and Madison police will be referring a charge of first-degree intentional homicide to the District Attorney’s Office in connection with this incident.
With the help of family members, officials said they were able to find and take Redeaux into custody.
This is Madison’s fifth homicide of 2017.
