Ramar Brown

FITCHBURG, Wis. — Fitchburg Police arrested a man Tuesday morning in connection with an attempted homicide that occurred last month.

Ramar Brown, 26, was arrested at a Madison apartment complex around 11:15 a.m.

Police say Brown ran from officers and was stopped by a police dog.

A loaded gun with an extended magazine, narcotics, and a stolen vehicle were found near the scene of the arrest.

Police say that the vehicle was stolen in an armed carjacking in Illinois, and that evidence links the vehicle to Brown.

Brown is charged with armed robbery and was in violation of his parole.

Both the shooting and the carjacking are under investigation.
