Suspect accused of striking man twice with vehicle

Milton police said they have arrested a man in connection with an incident in which a man was struck twice with a vehicle.

Milton police were called at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday to the area of Merchant Row and Crandall Street on a report that someone had been struck by a vehicle.

Milton police said they determined that Philip Shane Ullius, 24, of Milton, had been struck twice by the same vehicle.

Police said the incident was a result of an altercation on the street between Ullius and a man with two women.

Milton police said they made an arrest Monday in the incident. Police said Jason M. Ziemianin, 25, of South Beloit, Ill., was arrested on a felony charge of reckless injury, by use of a dangerous weapon, and taken to the Rock County Jail.

Police said the arrest was the result of an anonymous tip, which led the investigation to the suspect.

The investigation is still ongoing, and additional arrests of those involved may occur, police said.

Milton police said they are still encouraging anybody with information on this incident to contact them at 608-757-2244 or Janesville Area Crimestoppers at 608-756-3636.
