Susan L. “Susie” Schumacher
OREGON/OCONOMOWOC-Susan L. “Susie” Schumacher, age 70, of Oregon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Agrace HospiceCare.
She was born on November 22, 1946, the daughter of Wilbert Kloth and Mildred (Braatz) Kloth in Oconomowoc, Wis. She married Leroy Schumacher on September 20, 1969, in Oconomowoc, Wis.
Susie graduated from Oconomowoc High School. Susie worked in retail for Ben Franklin and Oregon Manor assisted living. She was a long time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and choir member. Susie was also a part of a card group at the Senior Center and a member of the Lioness Club.
Susie enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching, reading, coloring, card making, puzzles, traveling, and being with her family. She also loved planting flowers and going to Packer games; especially with cousins John and Elsie. Susie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Susie is survived by her husband, Leroy; son, Brett Schumacher; two daughters, Jamie (Richard) Hanson, and Laura Schumacher; granddaughter, Valerie O’Neil; brother-in-law, Eugene Kieck; two Brothers, Mike (Mary) Kloth, Alan (Barb) Kloth; two sisters, Peggy (Dale) Saeger, and Becky Tiearney; sister-in-law, Doris Luck; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Susie was preceded in death by her father, Wilbert O. Kloth; mother, Mildred M. Kloth; sister, Bonnie Kieck; two brother-in-laws, Kevin Tiearney, Bill Luck; sister-in-law, Mildred (Russell) Polensky; father-in-law, John (Lydia) Schumacher.
Funeral services will be held at ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 E. Netherwood St., Oregon, at 12 noon on Monday Feb. 13, with Rev. Paul Markquart presiding. Burial will be held at Ixonia Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Hustiford Rd, Ixonia on Tuesday Feb. 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church, Oregon, Wis.
