Sun Prairie police to release findings of explosion investigation
SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — Sun Prairie’s police chief is ready to announce the findings of their criminal investigation into the deadly July explosion that killed a member of the fire department, police announced Wednesday.
Chief Patrick Anhalt will detail those findings at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Sun Prairie City Hall Council Chambers on 300 Main Street, just blocks from the site of the July 10th explosion that killed Sun Prairie Fire Department Capt. Cory Barr.
Court documents previously revealed the gas line that was struck and led to the explosion was not properly marked, with the markings located 25 feet north of where the gas line was actually located.
