Sun Prairie police investigate shooting in area of Hunters Trail

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — The area of Hunters Trail at O’Keefe Avenue in Sun Prairie has reopened after a police investigation into gun shots Tuesday night.

Sun Prairie police say officers were sent to the 800 block of Hunters Trail at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday after getting reports of multiple shots being fired. Officers found a black sedan with four bullet holes in it in the area, as well as two shell casings and three bullet fragments.

The police department says this was a targeted shooting and not a random attack, and no one was hurt.
