Sun Prairie man accused of stealing $2,100 worth of goods from Walgreens
MADISON, Wis. — A Sun Prairie man is accused of stealing goods from an east Madison store Tuesday morning.
The Madison Police Department said surveillance video from the Walgreens at 2909 East Washington Avenue helped officers find a burglar who stole at about 7 a.m. more than $2,100 worth of merchandise including a large number of cigarettes.
Police said 28-year-old Danion M. O’Dell was found inside a nearby McDonald’s bathroom a couple of hours after the break-in.
He flushed a toilet a number of times as officers moved in to make contact, according to the report. Some, but not all, of the stolen items were recovered.
