Suburban Milwaukee standoff over after 11 hours
Incident prompted by harassing phone calls
MUSKEGO, Wis. — An 11-hour police standoff ended at about 8 a.m. Wednesday in a Milwaukee suburb.
Muskego police arrested a man who had barricaded himself in his house since Tuesday night. The man was accused of violating bail conditions from a domestic violence warrant.
The officers spent a long night that began at about 9 p.m. outside the suspect’s home until this morning’s arrest.
WTMJ radio reports the man was accused of trying to strangle a woman in August. The woman called police Tuesday to tell them the man was harassing her on the phone.
