Strong winds expected all day Tuesday
Wind advisory for most of Wisconsin until 6 p.m.
MADISON, Wis. — The storms may have passed through southern Wisconsin, but residents will have to worry about strong winds for the next two days.
WISC-TV meteorologist Haddie McLean said people in southern Wisconsin should expect high winds until Wednesday.
“A strong storm system moving across southern Canada will bring strong southwesterly winds to southern Wisconsin,” said McLean. “Wind gusts up to 45 MPH will be possible at times.”
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for most of the state until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
However, even after the wind advisory ends, strong winds are expected to continue until Wednesday. The winds are expected to change direction from southwest to northwest, but gusts are expected to continue through Wednesday at up to 45 mph.
