Stowe indicted by grand jury on child pornography charge
Grand jury indictment announced Thursday
MADISON, Wis. — A Madison man accused of assaulting at least eight women is indicted by a federal grand jury on a charge of child pornography.
Brian C. Stowe, 28, is charged with using a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing pornography. The grand jury indictment was announced Thursday.
At a detention hearing June 12, a federal judge ordered Stowe to stay in custody on a child pornography charge despite his family posting more than half a million dollars bond on some 60 separate charges in Dane County court.
A criminal complaint states Stowe assaulted and photographed numerous women while they were passed out inside his Madison apartment, including a 17-year-old girl.
If convicted of the federal charge, Stowe faces between 15-30 years in federal prison.
